Introduction

We set up this project in 2014 through Big Lottery funding to enable people living with HIV to explore learning and development opportunities in a supportive social setting.

Based in Horsham, we provide a community outreach service across West Sussex including Crawley, Worthing and Chichester. This is a summary of our work:

In-House Coaching/Training Sessions

Computer, job search and self-management skills

Education & Training

Assess study/training needs
Provide advice/support for external course/funding applications

Voluntary Work & Employment

Coordinate in-house volunteer placements
Identify external volunteering/employment opportunities
Provide advice/support for volunteer/job applications

Building Partnerships

We work with other organisations to share good practice and resources for our clients:
NHS West Sussex Community HIV Nursing Teams
Living Positively Project (THT Brighton & Hove)
Local Voluntary Action Groups
Job Centre Plus
Aspire Sussex

Other Information

We take referrals form partner agencies and service users may refer themselves.
Due to Big Lottery funding requirements, this service is available to people with HIV and living in West Sussex only.
