Testing

Quick and easy STI testing

We offer free and confidential HIV and syphilis insti-testing and also can provide chlamydia and gonorrhoea tests and support with sexual health matters. We have a confidential, comfortable room where we meet with you. We can also come to your venue and do HIV testing, as long as there is a confidential room to carry these out.

We offer appointments during the week, Monday – Thursday.

The insti-test is a rapid, finger prick test. The appointment usually takes 20 insti-testminutes. At the appointment we will talk to you about the test and about your sexual health, with time for questions and then the test itself, which takes a few minutes to complete. You find out the results at the appointment and support is given throughout.

You can talk over any concerns with our staff and will also be able to take away some condoms and lube.

We will also be holding a drop-in service on a first come, first served basis at Surrey University for university students fortnightly on Wednesday lunchtimes. We will be offering:

FAQs:

How long does the test take?

Our test takes 1 minute to give a result, the whole appointment takes around 20 minutes

When will I receive the result?

At the appointment. We only see people by pre-booked appointment. This ensures when you turn up to your appointment, you’ll be seen straight away and not bump into anyone else that is testing with us that day.

How soon can I be seen?

We have appointments available Monday to Thursday, and will book you in for when it suits you best, but aim to get you in for same day testing, where possible.  Please note testing is not available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

How much does it cost?

Testing is free. As a charity, we ask that if you found our service useful, to consider a small donation so we can continue to provide HIV testing. Donating is optional.
