Volunteering for St Peters House

Who can volunteer for St Peters House?

Our volunteering programme is accredited by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. It is open to anyone interested in promoting social welfare, health well being and personal development for people living with HIV. We welcome people from all work, social and cultural backgrounds to join us as volunteers.

What volunteering roles are available?

We offer a range of volunteering roles, which we hope will appeal to different volunteers. Please click on these web links for more details:

Where will I work? Will I need to travel?

Your volunteer role will involve supporting the work of St Peters House at our Reigate office in east Surrey.

How much time will I need to commit?

This is flexible and negotiable depending on your availability and the needs of our clients.

Other benefits

All our volunteers receive an induction, ongoing training, support and supervision, reimbursement for travel expenses, and references if requested.

Is there a selection process?

Our selection process usually begins with an informal chat. If you are still interested in volunteering after this chat, we will then ask you to fill in an application form. Once we have received this we will invite you in for an interview, and will also ask for references. Finally, all our volunteers are DBS checked before they begin volunteering with us.
